DMX started rapping in the middle of the 1990s. In May 1998, He released his first album, It's DARK and HELL IS HOT. Over the years he also released several albums, including ... And then There was X the Great Depression Year of the Dog... again Redemption of the Beast Grand Champ and Flesh of My Blood Flesh. The album, titled ... and Then There was X was also nominated for a Grammy for the Best Rap Album category in 2001. His career in music was enhanced with appearances in films as Lords of the Street Belly Top Five - Exit Wounded, Never Die Alone The Bleeding Romeo must die Backstage Beyond the Law Lockjaw - Rise of the Kulev Serpent and Fast and Fierce Death Race.
